Employers these days are demanding applications that are flexible and change as the business changes.  Design Patterns provide software architects and developers this flexibility.  However, what are the cots?  We will discuss the singleton, state, strategy, command, provider, plug-in and module patterns. This talk will explore these patterns and also point out the few downsides related to using these patterns.
